Free Clinic Receives Grant from Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley

For 10 years, the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, located in Aurora, Illinois has supported the mission of Tri City Health Partnership (TCHP) through grants that have provided medical equipment and office equipment, a phone system , security monitoring system, medication refrigerator and most recently window coverings and a computer work station for the new dental operatory. Fund Spotlight: Sten & Lucille Halfvarson Endowment Fund

This fund was created in 2010 at the time of Lucille R. Halfvarson’s passing. It became an endowment in 2011 through the gifts of many grateful friends and colleagues, and also through a generous grant from the A+ Foundation for West Aurora Schools. All grants from the fund honor music educators Sten and Lucille Halfvarson whose leadership efforts in the Aurora community spanned elementary, high school, college, church and community choruses over a period of more than forty years. Grant Enables Fox Valley Park District’s “Learn To Swim Program for 2nd Graders”

Thanks to a grant from the Community Foundation, the Fox Valley Park District will be offering free swimming lessons to Aurora 2nd graders this summer. This grant is being awarded from the Robert William/Anita Nelson Endowment in memory of twelve-year-old Robert William who lost his life while swimming in the Fox River. $2,600 Grant Helps Mentoring Program at Illinois Youth Center

Kairo’s Torch- IYC- St. Charles wishes to thank the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley for the generous support of their volunteer activities in the Youth Home. The recent grant given to the Mentoring Program will fund the purchase of audio visual equipment and website development. The equipment will be used when doing weekend retreats with the teenage boys living in the youth home and when doing presentations for funding and volunteer recruitment. Read more…
