CASA Kendall County Receives $9,300 Grant from the Community Foundation

We are writing to express CASA Kendall County’s tremendous gratitude to the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, for their recent grant contribution of $9,300.

CASA Kendall County is a non-profit organization that recruits, trains, and supports volunteers who advocate in and out of the courtroom for abused and neglected children in Kendall County. The sole mission of these volunteer advocates is to give a voice to these so often unheard children in a complex and overburdened child welfare system. CASA volunteers fight to protect every child’s right to grow up in a safe, loving, and permanent home.

Behind every CASA program dedicated to lifting up the voices and lives of the abused or neglected children they serve, stands a compassionate donor like the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley. With the foundation’s much needed support, CASA Kendall County was able to purchase critical program sustaining computers, data tracking and case management software, and technology needed to make it possible to reach out to our community and our volunteers in more efficient and effective ways. These invaluable tools and resources will help us expand our training for our dedicated volunteers who work on the front lines for our children. Additionally, the software will allow us for the first time to have an efficient online system for tracking and managing case data and outcomes, as well as for volunteers to easily communicate real time information with the organization. We believe this software will reduce the paperwork burden on our volunteers immensely and encourage more volunteers to join our mission.

The generosity of the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley helps us to fulfill our commitment to put a dedicated CASA volunteer into the lives of every child who needs one.

…you can always start small, even $25 can make a difference. Remember we can’t take our money with us. Even if it’s just your gift of time. Volunteer and get involved.

As a first-generation college student from a low-income family, I was worried about how I was going to pay for books and supplies. This scholarship will allow me to focus more on my studies instead of worrying about how to afford college. I am working to not only create opportunities for myself but to motivate future generations. Thank you so much for helping me along this journey!

A community foundation is a donor-driven organization that helps donors custom-design funds that reflect their charitable interests. Through the years, grants from these funds have made a significant impact on our local communities.
