The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley has approved a $10,000 grant to Fox Valley Christian Action to help complete the construction of a “new dormitory-style cabin” at our campus in St. Charles. This sixth new building constructed in the last 10 years will add significant capacity and new capabilities for the onsite programs of FVCA.
About Fox Valley Christian Action
Since 1977, Fox Valley Christian Action has been providing summer camp and year-round afterschool programs for at-risk youth living in the under-resourced communities of the Fox River Valley. The majority of youth served through FVCA come from government subsidized or low-income housing communities in Elgin, Carpentersville, and Aurora. All of FVCA’s year-round programs are provided at no-cost to the youth who participate. This new building will house 40 people for summer camp programs and year-round retreat functions and will be a great addition to the FVCA campus!! Please visit www.FVChristianAction.org.
