Congratulations to our very own Joyce Hemphill, PhD! The US Play Coalition and Clemson University’s Youth Learning Institute honored her hard work and contributions with the 2021 Youth Development Practitioner Award.
Dr. Hemphill serves as a Community Foundation board member and sits on the Distribution Committee and acts as the board advisor for the Youth Engagement in Philanthropy (YEP) program.

As a first-generation college student from a low-income family, I was worried about how I was going to pay for books and supplies. This scholarship will allow me to focus more on my studies instead of worrying about how to afford college.
