Boudreau Family Fund for Aurora University’s Pathways Program

Established 2023

Dr. Charles Boudreau worked for several years as the Director of Student Financial Aid Services at Waubonsee Community College. Over the course of his career, he worked with many students who needed assistance overcoming financial, personal, and/or developmental challenges, including autism. In the last decade, there has been a threefold increase in the number of children identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The dual challenges presented by this increase are to provide services to autistic children and to conduct research into the causes of autism.

The purpose of the fund is to support Aurora University’s Pathways Program, which is designed to help students with autism make a successful transition to higher education and complete their programs of study. Distributions from this Fund are used to award a scholarship to a student in Aurora University’s Pathways Program under the Boudreau Family Scholarship.

…you can always start small, even $25 can make a difference. Remember we can’t take our money with us. Even if it’s just your gift of time. Volunteer and get involved.

A community foundation is a donor-driven organization that helps donors custom-design funds that reflect their charitable interests. Through the years, grants from these funds have made a significant impact on our local communities.

There’s no question in my mind that the scholarship I received opened up possibilities.

Marianne Renner

Past Scholarship Recipient & Current Leadership Coach

As a first-generation college student from a low-income family, I was worried about how I was going to pay for books and supplies. This scholarship will allow me to focus more on my studies instead of worrying about how to afford college. I am working to not only create opportunities for myself but to motivate future generations. Thank you so much for helping me along this journey!
