O’Malley’s Pub & Eatery
Holiday Fundraiser

Dearest O’Malley’s friends,

We are contacting you today in search of help for our holiday fundraiser on Saturday, December 18, 2021; helping us to create a new community memory, one that all of our futures will rely on for strength. Please join O’Malley’s Pub & Eatery’s holiday fundraiser and help us raise money for those in need.

For over ten years, O’Malley’s has been hosting a holiday fundraiser for local charities. This is our first year hosting the holiday fundraiser to benefit the formation of the Boys & Girls Club in Aurora in collaboration with the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley (who will act as the component fund host). The Boys & Girls Club’s mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Every young person deserves to thrive – regardless of their circumstances or zip code. But for too many kids and teens, a great future and their ability to reach their full potential are threatened by widening income and access inequities. By building on the children’s strengths and assets in their lives, Clubs strengthen young people’s resilience and belief in their own capabilities.

As stated, this year our annual fundraiser will be on Saturday, December 18th, 2021 and our goal is to raise $50,000.00.We understand this is a high fundraising goal, however, it is attainable because of your care and backing. The success of this event and ultimately, our community, depends on your generosity. As always, we are offering many different opportunities for businesses to show their support whether it be through a sponsorship or raffle donation. Items we would like to collect for our raffle include items like sports memorabilia, gift cards, gift baskets, coupons and tools/hardware.

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact us at 630-892-5150 and ask for Jessica or email us at support@mjplawoffice.com. The Boys and Girls Club in Aurora is a component fund of the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley.

On behalf of all of us at O’Malley’s, Community Foundation of Fox River Valley and Boys & Girls Club in Aurora, we thank you in advance for your support this holiday season.

Kind regards,

O’Malley’s Pub & Eatery

Cris Anderson

Cristina & Thomas S. Anderson Endowment Fund | Tom & Cris Anderson Colonial Advisory Fund

As a first-generation college student from a low-income family, I was worried about how I was going to pay for books and supplies. This scholarship will allow me to focus more on my studies instead of worrying about how to afford college. I am working to not only create opportunities for myself but to motivate future generations. Thank you so much for helping me along this journey!

Claude & Alice Allen Memorial Scholarship Recipient

Being a part of the Community Foundation scholarship committee is the highlight of my year. For many, a scholarship from the Community Foundation is the reason they are able to continue reaching for their dreams and changing the future of our world. I hope each recipient knows just how inspirational they are to those of us who are lucky enough to read their stories.

We chose the Community Foundation because of its reputation. It’s well known, established and we can trust them to do the job for us.

Thank you very much for supporting my college education for these four years. I will never be able to repay you for the opportunity that this scholarship has given to me.

A community foundation is a donor-driven organization that helps donors custom-design funds that reflect their charitable interests. Through the years, grants from these funds have made a significant impact on our local communities.
