The A+ Foundation

The A+ Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that began in 1992 as the Foundation for West Aurora School which then merged in 2008 with the West Aurora High School Alumni Association. The A+ Foundation supports the students, staff, and community and raises money in order to enhance opportunities and provide additional resources which are so necessary to the success of our District. The goals of the A+ Foundation are to enrich the curriculum of West Aurora School District 129, inspire excellence in students and staff, expand opportunities for community involvement and foster alumni connections. The Mission of A+ is to support and promote educational, cultural and charitable programs for the students and alumni of School District 129. Support is provided through grants, programs and scholarships to enhance lifelong learning opportunities for recipients.

The Aurora East Educational Foundation

The Aurora East Educational Foundation (AEEF) was established in 1993 to provide funds and resources for the enhancement and enrichment of the educational programs and activities of East Aurora School District 131. The AEEF attracts private funds and resources to support programs and services not funded with tax dollars. The AEEF is a not-for-profit tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation directed and governed by a group of private citizens, most of whom are graduates of East Aurora High School or district residents.

Over the last 5 years the AEEF, through the generosity of the community, has been able to provide over $200,000 in Scholarships for Students and Mini-Grants for Teachers w/in EASD 131 and assisted D131 in securing over $1,241,000 in grant funds. The mini-grant award program has been well received by teachers and staff throughout the entire district and we were able to provide a record number of 10 scholarships to deserving EA Grads in the Spring of 2020. For the Class of 2021 we will provide at least 12 Scholarships. The 3 tiers of the AEEF Scholarship Program comprise: Students Pursuing a Degree in Education, Students in the Top 10% of their Class, and Students Pursuing a Career Path in Vocational Studies.  Naming rights exist for the 2021 Scholarships with donations of $1,000 or more. The scholarship can be named after a family member, favorite teacher or individual donor.
