The Peter & Jackie Henning Advisory Fund was established by Peter and Jackie Henning to support their philanthropic objectives.
Peter Henning was born and raised in Aurora, IL, and was a graduate of West Aurora High School, Amherst College (B.A.), and the University of Michigan (Ph.D.). He began working at Plano Molding Company, which specializes in outdoor storage solutions, in 1978, becoming its president and CEO in 1986. From 1989 to 2010, even after selling the business, he remained there as chair.
Prior to the couple’s move to California in 2011, Henning served on the Board of Directors at the Community Foundation from 1998-2008. He also chaired and served on the Boards of several other local organizations: Fox Valley YMCA, Valley West Community Hospital (formerly Sandwich Community Hospital), Kendall County Foundation, Castle Bancorp Group Inc. and Castle Bank, Sandwich. In addition, he served as a Board member of the American Sportfishing Association, the world’s largest sportfishing trade association. While they moved to California, he continued to support nonprofit organizations in the Fox River Valley area and remained connected to many people and organizations.
