This fund was created upon receipt of a donation from Rich and Jean Cibulskis. This fund will offer one renewable scholarship to graduating seniors of Rosary High School and one renewable scholarship to graduating seniors of Marmion High School each year. Eligible students must plan to attend a four-year college or university and have maintained a minimum of a 3.0 high school GPA.
Rich and Jean Cibulskis valued education immensely. Rich attended the University of Notre Dame after graduating from Marmion. He eventually made the difficult decision to leave college and returned to Aurora to help grow Aurora Air Products, the family manufacturing business. Jean also expressed a desire to attend college, but she was unable to pursue any formal education after high school due to family financial constraints.
Rich and Jean instilled the importance of education, faith, and service in their family. They believed love and education were two of the greatest gifts they could give their four children and eleven grandchildren. They were committed to providing every educational opportunity to their family, particularly since neither of them obtained a college degree. Rich and Jean were grateful for the education more than two dozen members of the Cibulskis family received from Marmion Academy and Rosary High School. Jean selected the Community Foundation of Fox River Valley because it shared her desire to educate, inspire, and develop future leaders.
