The St. Charles History Museum is proud to announce that we are the recipients of an $8,000 grant from the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley! This grant will go towards the purchase of two new exhibit cases and hands on interactives for the exhibit hall.

Project Information:

St. Charles, IL June 6, 2015 – Alison Costanzo, the Director of the St. Charles History Museum, has announced a winning grant from the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley for new exhibit cases and interactives, just in time for the renovation of the main exhibit. The St. Charles History Museum is grateful for the Community Foundation’s grant and the opportunity it gives them to update the Museum’s displays.

This announcement comes on the heels of the St. Charles History Museum’s rebranding, including a brand new logo and website, as well as updates to the permanent exhibit and a brand new temporary exhibit space.

The mission of the St. Charles History Museum is to collect, preserve, and present St. Charles history through exhibits, educational programs, articles, and social media.

Thanks to the hard work of Museum Assistant Brigid Leavy and Director Alsion Costanzo, the Museum is excited to have this opportunity to continue updating and modernizing the main exhibit space.
We hope that the updates to the St. Charles History Museum will meet with St. Charles community approval as we continue to strive to preserve and present our community’s history.

Past Scholarship Recipient & Current Leadership Coach

As a first-generation college student from a low-income family, I was worried about how I was going to pay for books and supplies. This scholarship will allow me to focus more on my studies instead of worrying about how to afford college. I am working to not only create opportunities for myself but to motivate future generations. Thank you so much for helping me along this journey!

A community foundation is a donor-driven organization that helps donors custom-design funds that reflect their charitable interests. Through the years, grants from these funds have made a significant impact on our local communities.
