YEP Student Spotlight: Molly

Meet Molly, a senior at Rosary High School. This is her first year in YEP. “I wanted to be a part of YEP because I saw it as an exciting leadership opportunity that would foster my love for service and giving back to my community. Making a difference in my community is important to me because I feel that even the smallest of positive efforts can go a long way in creating a thriving community. I believe a positive change is possible and it brings me joy to know that I am a part of creating this change. I love helping the youth of my community and volunteering with children fills me with unique satisfaction and joy. The knowledge that I can help make a difference in their lives empowers me and equips me with confidence as I seek to make a difference in my future.”

A community foundation is a donor-driven organization that helps donors custom-design funds that reflect their charitable interests. Through the years, grants from these funds have made a significant impact on our local communities.

Dick Schindel

Richard and Susan Schindel Scholarship Funds

As a first-generation college student from a low-income family, I was worried about how I was going to pay for books and supplies. This scholarship will allow me to focus more on my studies instead of worrying about how to afford college. I am working to not only create opportunities for myself but to motivate future generations. Thank you so much for helping me along this journey!
