Due to building maintenance at our Aurora office through early June, if you would like to visit, please call us to verify availability unless you have a pre-scheduled appointment.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

For Donors

Through the Community Foundation, you have the opportunity to custom-design your own named fund that will fulfill your charitable objectives. You also can support any of the existing funds within our organization.

Please review the many benefits and choices available to you by clicking on the topics on this page.

If you would like to discuss the possibility of creating your own charitable fund, please contact us.

We hope you will contact us if you have questions or wish additional information. It is important to us that your experience in charitable giving will be a pleasant and rewarding one.

What Happens To My Contribution?

All contributions to the Community Foundation fulfill charitable purposes. No gift is used to defray the operating expenses of our organization unless a donor designates his or her gift for placement in our Administrative Endowment Fund. And then, only the income earned by the investment of gifts placed in that fund supports administrative expenses.

Any administrative fee charged to a Foundation fund is deducted from the income earned by that fund. Thus, the original value of each contribution to our organization is safeguarded for charitable needs.

Additional Information

Please contact the Foundation office for a copy of our Annual Audit or Gift Acceptance Policies.  You may view our recent IRS 990s by visiting GuideStar.  Finally, a schedule of our administrative and investment fees is available upon request.

Being a part of the Community Foundation scholarship committee is the highlight of my year. For many, a scholarship from the Community Foundation is the reason they are able to continue reaching for their dreams and changing the future of our world. I hope each recipient knows just how inspirational they are to those of us who are lucky enough to read their stories.

We chose the Community Foundation because of its reputation. It’s well known, established and we can trust them to do the job for us.

…you can always start small, even $25 can make a difference. Remember we can’t take our money with us. Even if it’s just your gift of time. Volunteer and get involved.

A community foundation is a donor-driven organization that helps donors custom-design funds that reflect their charitable interests. Through the years, grants from these funds have made a significant impact on our local communities.

Sharon Stredde

President Emeritus

As a first-generation college student from a low-income family, I was worried about how I was going to pay for books and supplies. This scholarship will allow me to focus more on my studies instead of worrying about how to afford college. I am working to not only create opportunities for myself but to motivate future generations. Thank you so much for helping me along this journey!

Moises J.

Claude & Alice Allen Memorial Scholarship Recipient

Thank you very much for supporting my college education for these four years. I will never be able to repay you for the opportunity that this scholarship has given to me.
