Community Foundation awards Joseph Corporation a $7,500.00 grant

This May 2017, the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley awards a $7,500.00 grant to Joseph Corporation for new technology.  “On behalf of the Joseph Corporation and its Board of Directors, I would like to thank the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley for their recent grant of $7,500 toward technology upgrades.  Joseph Corporation has been addressing affordable housing in the Aurora community since 1990. In order for Joseph Corporation to better serve our clients and provide up to date data for our funders, new computers were a necessity,” said Dennis Wiggins, Executive Director, Joseph Corporation.

“We are grateful for the work that is done by Joseph Corporation to help hundreds of individuals and families throughout the Fox River Valley each year better understand the home buying process and become successful homeowners,” said Julie Christman, Director of Community Involvement and Partnerships, Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley.

A community foundation is a donor-driven organization that helps donors custom-design funds that reflect their charitable interests. Through the years, grants from these funds have made a significant impact on our local communities.

As a first-generation college student from a low-income family, I was worried about how I was going to pay for books and supplies. This scholarship will allow me to focus more on my studies instead of worrying about how to afford college. I am working to not only create opportunities for myself but to motivate future generations. Thank you so much for helping me along this journey!
