This fund was established in 2021 and endowed in 2024. Cheryl Vonhoff is a lifelong Aurora resident and a retired City Clerk for the City of Aurora. She values giving back to the community with her time and talent, volunteering in multiple capacities. She is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Aurora, serves on the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley, and is an active member of New England Congregational Church in Aurora. The Cheryl Vonhoff Advisory Endowment Fund will allow her legacy of service to live on, and will support the local community in perpetuity.

As a first-generation college student from a low-income family, I was worried about how I was going to pay for books and supplies. This scholarship will allow me to focus more on my studies instead of worrying about how to afford college.
