Kairo’s Torch- IYC- St. Charles wishes to thank the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley for the generous support of their volunteer activities in the Youth Home.
The recent grant given to the Mentoring Program will fund the purchase of audio visual equipment and website development. The equipment will be used when doing weekend retreats with the teenage boys living in the youth home and when doing presentations for funding and volunteer recruitment.
The entire volunteer group was humbled by the grant. The youth served look at it as a sign that the community has not given up on them, but cares about their welfare.
The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley is a non-profit philanthropic organization that administers individual charitable funds from which grants and scholarships are distributed to benefit the citizens of the Greater Aurora Area, the TriCities and Kendall County Illinois.
