This November, 2016, the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley approved a $10,000 grant to Community 4:12 for supplies and equipment for our new facility at 78 S. LaSalle Street that we share with Community Christian Church.
Community 4:12 runs a variety of school-based tutoring and mentoring programs in East Aurora District 131. We also partner with organizations such as World Relief, Emmanuel House, Family Focus, SPARK, and Triple Threat and provide free space for them and others to host large events and classes. This grant will allow us to purchase audio/visual equipment that will allow us to provide volunteer trainings and workshops, student and parent programs as well supporting the technical needs of all of our partnering organizations when they host things like Citizenship Workshops, Parent Café’s, and other large group gatherings in our facility.
“We are pleased to support Community 4:12 with this grant in order to increase their capacity to serve the community. It is great to see agencies working together and sharing resources,” said Jeff Hartman, President & CEO of the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley.
