LivingWell Cancer Resource Center Announces $15,000 Grant From The Community Foundation Of The Fox River Valley
GENEVA, Ill., June 1, 2012 – LivingWell Cancer Resource Center in Geneva is pleased to announce the notification of a grant award from the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley in the amount of $15,000. This approved grant will fund the purchase of new office equipment in LivingWell’s new 15,000 square-foot purpose- built center.
“We are grateful for our long standing relationship with the Community Foundation, their continued support, and their belief in our mission,” said Susan Lyons, Development Director at LivingWell. “We are committed to continuing to lead the way by providing the highest quality psychosocial support services available and we appreciate the commitment of The Community Foundation of the FRV to our organization.”
LivingWell provides over 55 free programs and services to cancer survivors and their families, and has served over 12,000 individuals since it opened its door six years ago. Psychosocial services available at LivingWell include individual counseling for adults and children, couples and family counseling, group support programs and resource referrals.
