The Aurora Regional Fire Museum has served our community since it opened in 1968.
Originally established in 1966 as the Aurora Fire Museum, the Aurora Regional Fire Museum preserves the history of the Aurora Fire Department and firefighting in the region through our various exhibits, programs, and events. The museum is located in Aurora’s 1894 Central Fire Station in the heart of downtown Aurora.
The Fire Museum is the region’s fire museum. Our roots are in Aurora; however, we look at the history of firefighting in Kane, DuPage, Will, Kendall, Dekalb, and Cook counties and beyond!
The Aurora Regional Fire Museum Endowment Fund assists the museum in all areas of managing operations.
