New Fund: Aurora Regional Fire Museum Endowment Fund

Originally established in 1966 as the Aurora Fire Museum, the Aurora Regional Fire Museum preserves the history of the Aurora Fire Department and firefighting in the region through our various exhibits, programs, and events. The museum is located in Aurora’s 1894 Central Fire Station in the heart of downtown Aurora. The Aurora Regional Fire Museum Endowment Fund assists the museum in all areas of managing operations. New Fund: Dorothy K. Witte Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund

The Dorothy K. Witte Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund honors the memory of Dorothy K. Witte (1912-2008) who taught in East Aurora School District elementary schools for the bulk of her career. She had previously taught briefly in several Lutheran schools prior to having her three children, Elizabeth, Jonathan, and Robert who all graduated from East Aurora High School. Read more…

New Fund: Robert E. Stredde Endowment Fund

The Foundation's first fund for 2022, the Robert E. Stredde Endowment Fund was created earlier this year to provide income for the Community Foundation’s discretionary grantmaking program. Grants from the fund support the charitable needs of the Community Foundation’s service area, including the fields of health care, education, social services, the arts and the environment. Robert (Rob) Stredde is a 1993 graduate of West Aurora High School.  He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Aurora University. Read more…
